Ice skater silhuettes on the Gorky Park’s main entrance archway

As part of the Gorky Park’s winter season 2017–2018 decoration, we developed the idea of decorative luminous elements for the park’s main entrance. We designed the seven decorative elements in the form of ice skater pairs using the LED strips. The elements were fixed to the archway openings.

The figures demonstrate different stages of a dance routine. The change of their movements is supported by the sequence of light, transitioning from one figure to the next, which creates an additional animation effect and makes it seem as if the ice skaters are constantly moving.

The design’s lightness and airiness in combination with familiar images make it a memorable and vivid symbol of Moscow’s holiday decoration.
